Music Monday - Total Eclipse Of The Heart - Mitoy Yonting & Lea Salonga On The VoicePH

Happy Monday, folks! I'm sharing Mitoy Yonting (with Lea Salonga and Vice Ganda)'s rendition of Total Eclipse Of The Heart. Mitoy is the winner in last night's VoicePH Grand Finals. He's a crowd favorite and the pride of Pangasinan. I don't know him personally but my close friend from Japan has had the privilege of meeting him at a party long before he became a celebrity on the VoicePH. Enjoy!

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART

(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit lonely and you're never coming round
(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
(Turn around) every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes

(Turn around, bright eyes) Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around, bright eyes) Every now and then I fall apart

And I need you now tonight and I need you more than ever
And if you only hold me tight We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right 'cause we'll never be wrong
Together we can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (all of the time)
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight, forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight

Once upon a time I was falling in love, but now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do... a total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life, but now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say... a total eclipse of the heart

(Turn around) bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart
(Turn around) bright eyes, Every now and then I fall apart

And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time (all of the time)
I don't know what to do, I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight

Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart
A total eclipse of the heart

Music Monday - The Romantics and A-HA

Two hit songs from my 80s adolescent hood for this Music Monday for me,yay!

The Romantic's "Talking In Your Sleep" was a great hit in the summer of 1984. It was a crowd favorite and I wonder why it personally reminds me of Eat Bulaga's Little Miss Philippines contestant Glaiza Herradura, hmm, now there's another entry to blog about next time :)

"Take On Me" by A-ha is an incredibly awesome music video and a great hit also. It was in early 1985 that the music video was released and often requested on MTV and VH1

Enjoy!

Tombstone Tuesday Remembering Our Ancestors This All Saint's Day

When I visited our town cemetery together with my two boys for clean-up, I knew these tombstones are something to blog about.. so here I am on my entry for Tombstone Tuesday. In the Philippines we use marble tombstones called lapida in the local dialect.

My grandfather Roberto Cortez De Guzman (Born: June 6,1899 - Died: December 1,1983) He lived up to his 84th year of old age. My grandfather and grandmother's ashes were put together, as is the Pinoy custom, in one grave. My grandmother Felicidad De Vera De Guzman (Born: July 24,1905 - Died: February 19,1960) She died from complications due to a bout of asthma. During the rural folk ages, doctors were a rarity in our town that perhaps contributed to her early demise when my mother and her siblings were still in college in Manila.

My Aunt Justina De Vera De Guzman (Born September 26,1934 - Died: May 19, 1960) Aunt Nena, as she was fondly called, was two years older than my  mom. She died of heart complications about the time she was working right after college. I recall my other aunts said she had a suitor/boyfriend who was very despondent when she died.

On the same grave is my older cousin whom I've never met Francis G. Paraan (Born: October 18, 1964 - Died: February 18, 1965) He was the brother between my Big Sister/ Cousin Ate Edith and Kuya Rey. Folks said that when he died, the then young Ate Edith cried so much at his funeral that people cried more for her sadness. She wished for another sibling and was blessed with the birth of Kuya Rey

On the same grave is my nephew Gian Carlo Viloria Paraan, son of Kuya Rey and Ate Mimie (Born: March 21,1988 - Died: March 22, 1988) He died from neonatal complications. Faye and I were there when we visited him at the hospital, which was also the same day we took him home together with Ate Mimie's folks.

This is my mom's tombstone: Juana De Guzman Buelchmann (Born: June 12, 1936 - Died: April 13, 1991) (Juane De Guzman Bülchmann) She died from cancer complications. I was only 19 years old then.

All Saint's Day Is A Family Tradition From The 80s

$

The hiatus between October 31st to November 2nd is almost always a family reunion during the 80s. Folks from Manila, Tuguegarao and La Union would all visit our  hometown to pay respects to our departed relatives by offering prayers, as is the Catholic tradition.

I've had precious memories from these visits, being in the ancestral house that my grandfather resided. Folks would take me with them, not only to visit the graves in the cemetery, but more to go around town to visit other relatives in nearby towns. An added plus is staying at our uncles' San Fabian resthouse eby the popularly known Holiday Resort! There were plenty of us families there, I imagine the house with 4 rooms so cramped that some of us had to sleep by the living room / terrace. But the days were so much fun playing boardgames, going to the beach, exchanging knock-knock jokes and getting to know our cousins more!

For a long while since 1983, when our grandfather Roberto De Guzman passed away, it was only me and my Big Sister Cousin Edith  who would visit their graves at the cemetery. The practice was solemn then and we would pass by the Catholic church in the afternoon to offer prayers first before going to the cemetery. At the cemetery we would keep vigil until the sun sets, just exchanging family stories and the latest. I miss that too.

Yes, I miss those times and wish we could have a repeat of those for the next generation (read: my young boys) but then all my relatives are now settled in the US and Australia for good, that I miss their huge crowd sometimes. Yes, I'm the only immediate relative left here in the Philippines, so you could imagine the quietness of the occasion for my family now. And I've also changed with traditions during All Saint's Day and All Soul's Day as we don't celebrate nor participate in it now, except with the clean-up of the grave sites since we converted to Christian faith.

My grandfather Heinrich and grandmother Minna's house in Hedemuenden, Germany when it was being built in 1939. They must have been newly weds at that time. This house is surrounded by a huge expanse of land that they call a garden and an orchard.

This photo above was taken in the 1970s. That's the small beer house with sign above it that says "Zum kleinen Bären Schnellimbiss Bären-Pils". I hope to know what it means and I hope to find people who are familiar with this beer hub in town. That was my grandmother Minna in the middle and my father on the right. This lady with them must be a relative as she resembles my grandmother's earlier photos. ( Who could this lady be? Tante Hildegard.. Tante Claudia... Tante Heidi.. Tante Hannelore?)

These next three photos are the ones given to me by my great uncle in 1992. I can imagine it still looks this way now even after we've sold the property in 1993. It looks quaint like a photo in a Christmas postcard, doesn't it?

If you look closer, you can find the beer hub sign on the far left corner again, yet I could not make out it's new business name, I think it's just the same with a new design.

Loving Bullies In My 80s High School

High school memories.... aargh! It was my luck to be seated next to these guys: Marty on my right, Daryl just behind me and Jessie just a little bit far from our aisle who frequently stays by. We were all seated at the back of the class - where most of the mischief in class started.
Common characteristics of these guys... they are smart, with winsome personalities, good family background ( I didn't know that then) and transferees from other private schools. Their pics here were posted as such, to protect their identity. Sayang naman if they will run for public office in the future or if they will take the bar exam.
Though we've made peace after graduation - and 8 months after graduation, I just want to write about this. Subtitled: "The crybaby me"

Photobucket

I'm not sure what I was back then or how my classmates saw me. But definitely I had low morale. Not just because of my own twisted thinking but also because of the embarrassing criticisms and name-calling I got when we were in III year. Some said I was smart - but I thought I was stupid;  some said I was pretty - but I thought I was bland and uninteresting; I had no talent- just good in my English subjects and just striving to please our teachers, ... Some female schoolmates hated me and female teachers too (yes, the ladies mostly) Pero I did not do anything against anybody. I simply stayed out of anybody-who-dislikes-me's way.
Why was I being treated that way? My theory - I was always praised for being "white" or "tisay" but behind that reputation my classmates thought I was just a GI baby (l.c. from a foreigner and a pinay) But no.... my parents were decent folks, even myself didn't know it because I did not listen to the stories about them ( hang on to my blog and you'll know more about that soon)
Yet the lowest point of my day would be when I would answer in class discussions this way : Click here minus the wrong grammar. I get a horrific mental block when a teacher calls on me during recitations. Yes, of course,I'm always prepared for graded recitations when announced, otherwise... it's a dizazter.

Photobucket
Marty is a funny guy, always alert (hyper?), top of the class and actively participating in class discussions. His bff and chatmate was Daryl. Both of them were always nasty to me. Sometimes I was their "friend" when they need something hehe, sometimes I was their "enemy" and sometimes they just ignore me..... one of my most horrifying moments with Marty is that in every major exam we took he would try to answer his test paper on his own, leaving out the difficult ones (enumeration, essay type) then 15 minutes to the time, he would KICK my chair and ask for my answers. And I would "share" it in my lowest voice possible. Daryl would follow or would ask me to raise my test paper within his view.
Eh one time, our adviser - a good-natured lady nearing her retirement year - just warned " No murmuring, or else" I had respect for her hence, I kept quiet and went about doing my own business. But as usual, Marty had to ask. So I gave my answers as quietly as possible - I said:"Manchuria" .. It was History exam that time... Marty: "What?".... Me:"Manchuria"...... Marty:"Can't hear you, speak louder...."Me:"Ahem, Manchuria." .... Marty: "HA?" .... Me: (yelling)"MANCHURIA! I think I'll use a microphone to share my answers to the whole class?!"I was annoyed for his pestering. ha! okay. But after class exam, same old story. PEACE, Marty, ha!
Photobucket

Daryl- Ah, two unforgettable incidents. I often found him before holding a butterfly knife(balisong), sometimes playing with it. So that thought stuck in my mind. One time, as I vaguely recall, he pressed the pointed object on my back, just for practice. Well, just pretended to be scared. But there was this one time he pressed a sharp object on my back again while saying, give me your day's allowance (or whatever) I got really scared, we were in class that moment, I did not move for fear that the sharp edge would pierce my back or hurt me. I said okay and was about to hand over what he asked for. Then he laughed and showed me what "sharp" object he used - it was just the sharp edge of a ballpen cover!!! I got so angry and cried.

Next, in our religion class, we were having an unannounced recitation. It was my turn so I stood up. As always, I had difficulty answering the question because my mind went blank even if I knew the answer. I was still not satisfied with my answer and was disturbed over it. So I sat down for a while when --HORRORS! my butt landed on the floor! The whole class laughed, so it seemed, most of the guys - maybe even my "crush" laughed out loud! I was so embarrassed then, just imagine I was wearing a skirt uniform and I landed on the floor like a klutz! Whatever happened after that was no comfort to my wounded reputation. Our teacher reprimanded Daryl and he answered back respectfully but still snickering at me - he wasn't the argumentative type, bless him.

Personally, and the fact that I know this Rel.Ed. teacher, she should've done something more... fellow bloggers, what do you think? .... Me, don't ask me what went through my mind at that time. It's unthinkable.
And adding insult to injury (that time)- he said "sorry". That was a right thing to do, but I don't accept apologies at the "crime scene" and not infront of an audience. I needed much more comforting than that. What was ideal that time, could've been...
"Sorry, Christine, I'm so sorry, I'm truly sorry... and I won't do it ever again"Just not that simple sorry, hehehe.

But it's no worries now because Marty and Daryl are okay with mealready, and they are still so funny always saying sorry for everything... kaya heto I'm posting this tuloy just to let them know everything is okay. Actually, I should be the guilty party kase may mga utang pa ako kay Daryl... lagot. PEACE Daryl, you're tops! Mai-advertise nga ang kabutihan nito... ah, yes truly he's a law-abiding citizen and works for somebody important. that's enough, too much clues here!

Photobucket
Jessie naman, I could hardly recall him bullying me. He was so quiet and decent but when we were in III year he was always calling me names ( that were really below-the-belt and so untrue). In fairness, he seemed mild-mannered. But just this recent STHS reunion, wow, he admitted he made so many "booby traps". He even asked me if I still remember the day when I was just entered our classroom and as I opened the door a shoe fell on my head. Says he was the mastermind. He knew I was coming through and lodged the shoe by the door ( hmm, like Tom and Jerry cartoons eh?) Oh, well, I've got selective amnesia,I guess, so when he told me that, I was clueless. But since he admitted doing so.... ahem, he's included in my book Peace Jessie!

Every highschool reunion I meet most of my classmates that I sorely miss. And I've had fun reminiscing what happened in our 80's high school... such bittersweet memories... the funny, the sad (we made our adviser cry), the horrendous, the jokes, the exams that wracked our brains, the teachers who were patient with us, all the fun we had.

80s Movies Meme - Labyrinth

Labyrinth starring Jennifer Connelly was one of my much-awaited movies from the 80s. My bestfriend Lanie waited months for it to be shown in our province. Yes, by that time, Lanie became a Jennifer Connelly fan also!  Thanks to the first movie I've watched, also starring her in Phenomena. Since then, she became our favorite :)

I love this movie mostly for it's fantasy theme, it's almost like a fairytale story for me then.. and still is now!

Here's the movie's plot (acknowledgements to wikipedia)

The film opens with a barn owl watching a teenager, Sarah (Jennifer Connelly), reciting lines from her favorite book called The Labyrinth in a park. As Sarah struggles to remember the final line of her monologue, the town clock chimes seven o' clock and Sarah remembers she has to babysit her brother Toby. She rushes home and has a confrontation with her impatient stepmother.
Following her parents' departure Sarah realizes that her teddy bear, Lancelot, is missing from her room. She finds the toy in Toby's room and resentfully declares a wish that the goblins would take the baby away. Abruptly, Toby vanishes and a barn owl flies into the room, transforming into Jareth: King of the Goblins (David Bowie). Jareth tells Sarah that he will return her brother if she can solve his Labyrinth within thirteen hours. He transports Sarah and himself to the Labyrinth, then leaves Sarah to start her quest.
At the entrance of the Labyrinth, Sarah meets Hoggle, a grumpy and obstinate dwarf who refuses to help her. She advances through the labyrinth alone and overcomes a series of obstacles during her journey, including a Knights and Knaves logic puzzle, before eventually trapping herself in an oubliette. Jareth sends Hoggle into the oubliette to free Sarah and misdirect her back to the beginning of the labyrinth.
As they travel Sarah and Hoggle encounter a group of goblins tormenting a gentle beast named Ludo, whose roars frighten Hoggle and lead him to flee. Sarah saves Ludo and travels with him but the two become separated. A group of revelers with detachable limbs called the Fire Gang harass Sarah until Hoggle reappears to rescue her. Shortly afterward they pass through the Bog of Eternal Stench where they are reunited with Ludo and add another to their party: Sir Didymus, a chivalrous, fox-like knight who guards the bridge that leads away from the bog.
Hoggle offers Sarah a peach that Jareth had ordered him to give her. Upon biting the peach, Sarah falls into a trance and finds herself in a dream-like ballroom where Jareth attempts to seduce her. The sound of a striking clock reminds Sarah that she needs to save her brother and she frees herself from the vision to resume her quest. After rejecting an old goblin junk lady who tries to convince her to stay in a recreation of her room filled with all the discarded possessions she outgrew over the years, Sarah rejoins Ludo and Sir Didymus, and the three of them approach the Goblin City that surrounds Jareth's castle. Hoggle appears and disables a giant robot that guards the city gate. Sarah forgives Hoggle for his earlier betrayal and continues with all her friends through the city, successfully defeating the soldiers of the goblin army who have been sent to stop them.
Upon reaching Jareth's throne room, Sarah decides to go forward alone. She finds Jareth and Toby in a vast, stair-filled room,  and attempts unsuccessfully to find a path to reach her brother. She is interrupted by Jareth, who confronts her face-to-face and asks her to abandon her quest in order to stay with him forever.
Sarah however vehemently rejects the overture and begins to recite the monologue from the beginning of the film once again in order to help her concentrate on repelling Jareth and rescuing her brother. As he prepares to cast the ultimate spell over her, she finally remembers the last line: "You have no power over me." Jareth, acknowledging defeat, returns Sarah and Toby to their home, whereupon she finds Toby sleeping in his crib, apparently oblivious to the previous events.

Upon having a seat at her vanity, Sarah discovers that she can see Hoggle and the rest of her friends from the Labyrinth, but only behind her through a reflection in the bedroom mirror, as when she turns to face them, they are not there. Sarah tells her friends that she does need them after all, whereupon they appear in her room, surrounding her. The film closes as Sarah and the creatures celebrate her victory over Jareth. Outside the bedroom window, a barn owl briefly watches the party before flying away.

Endless Love 1981

Endless Love was an old movie way back in the early 80's which I was able to see during 1986 (yes, you read right!) at a local moviehouse in our province. It's a movie that I watched 3 times that week, I guess. First, awed by Brooke Shields "Pretty Baby" beauty, who in my book, has the prettiest face ever; Second, getting goosebumps by the love Martin Hewitt and Brooke portrayed on screen; Third, having my own personally intense feelings of being in love with love itself. Ask me why, perhaps those feelings were taken from all the tv shows and movies I watched as an adolescent - during the tumultous times in my life.

As I look back now, yah, now that I'm 42, does such love ever exist? Or does that kind of love fade in a decade? Where is indeed the first love, when the foundation has been topsy-turvy from the start?

Thanks to this movie, I'm looking back to what once was, how I tried to find it before and how I found it at last. I pray, may the peace, love, harmony and happiness live again!

Who's This PX From The 80's?

This guy called PX

The legendary PX who I met first in 1985 and ignored, who caught my attention in 1986, who.... yadda, yadda, yadda

Read: http://iheartd80s.blogspot.com/2013/02/february-101986-day-in-life.html

Yes, PX the one guy who mattered so much to me from 1986 up to 1988;1988 up to 1989. Yes, those were 3 years that felt like 6 - double the feeling I had. We met each other when I was still 14 then we completely lost touch when I was nearly 18.

Why are most of my stories about him now? First, because I chose to write about the early years so I begun with the best parts. Second, it just so happened he is in those diary entries of '86. But did you notice, there wasn't any news about PX in 1987 to early 1988? That's because he wasn't anywhere.. missing perhaps, or busy working, or simply decided to be out of touch. Despite that silence, I often thought of him when I watched romantic movies or when I read those mushy Sweet Dreams Novels. But sad to say, and I must really admit, the feeling wasn't mutual. It was not balanced, as my friends often told me. I loved him much much more than he loved me.

Those 3 years were nothing of substance, another painful truth, we only met occasionally and I always had to be sure to watch my back, left side and right side and especially right infront of me- 100 meters ahead, that NO ONE would see us together.

That's maybe the reason why I valued each meeting we had. It wasn't easy. Also that I was always my prim and proper self, even during our college years. So I guess that's one reason why he tired of me :)

Ok, so this is just my simple explanation why there is PX there and why there is PX here. Just a little contemplation why I prefer to talk about me and the 80s.

As Jade in Endless Love said, "you have to let it go, please say goodbye".. I think about letting it go but I refuse. It's not the guy/s or friend/s in my stories that keep me going back to reminisce, but the young me in those stories. Whenever I read and reread bits and pieces of the 80's diaries, I always discover something about me. The good qualities that I never noticed, or the ideals that meant much to me then.

Wake me up, pinch me quick... I am a crazy romantic !!! It's a disease I must get healed from :) or at least let me know that I should just throw all caution to the wind and get on with my blog! :))

Happy Love Day!

Love, love, love! Happy Love Day to everyone!

It's the language I often talk about here. It's possible the keyword that gets googlers here.. what with "I love you..___ 1,000,000,000,000x" written so often. But then that wasn't really love, was it :) It was only what my elders call puppy love. If that love continued now that I'm this age then I say back to my elders, I'm now a mature German Shepherd..hehehe :)

This day is truly the day excitedly celebrated by sweethearts, lovers, husband & wife... and singles even! I have gone past the tradition already, having had so many expectations from Valentine's day celebrations - from the 80s up to present. Exciting times as I remember, but sometimes I feel like I've just gotten the hang of it.  I don't believe in only looking my best, loving my best and being my best on this day, but I believe it for everyday. And, yeah...just a secret, haha, I'm not one who easily conforms to tradition that's why. I prefer to celebrate love freely any day!

Love lives on! <3 <3 <3

Music Monday - Summer In The Streets By Menudo

This Menudo fan (Robby Rosa fan, specifically) is at it again because of this 2014 summer heat in the Philippines! This song I love by heart brings me back to the"period of recovery" I had in 1986 when I had to attend summer class in Luzon Colleges Dagupan over this high school Algebra. Weep with me :here: :)

This song Summer In The Streets is my Music Monday feature this week, so enjoy! :)

This song was always played on the airwaves, from the Downtown Dagupan public jeepneys - no less! It gave me company - and comfort- during those silent moments commuting daily from our hometown to Luzon Colleges. Well, that summer I got so serious contemplating how to face my senior year on a clean slate. If I may say, that 1986 summer class wasn't that bad after all! :)

Music Monday - Will You Still Love Me? By Chicago

Yey! It's Music Monday!

"Will You Still Love Me?" is one song I really like up to this day. I remember it being shared to me by my niece Faye in 1987, when it was not even played on the airwaves here in our province. I actually never heard of it except through my nieces and nephews singing it for me. The song was quite known in their La Union province first before ours. I can imagine it's still Faye's favorite together with awesome memories.

This song had a special meaning for me too. It's one of those songs that made me fall in love with love itself.. yeah, not with anyone then. It was a song during a loveless moment in my high school life - on my serious senior year whilst fretting about NCEEs,upcoming college entrance exams and doing good in school. Bittersweet recollections :)

"Will You Still Love Me?" is a song written by David Foster, Tom Keane and Richard Baskin for the group Chicago and recorded for their album Chicago 18 (1986). The second single released from that album, it reached #3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Say this out loud with me
I am an absolute miracle, I love myself and I am proud and free to be me. I am surrounded by loving supportive people. I now choose thoughts that make me feel good and I am creating the life of my dreams. I love my body and it loves me back and I only think healthy thoughts. I am so joyful and happy that I can't stop laughing, its contagious and the right people and circumstances are attracted to me. I deserve to be successful. Success is my birth right and I have achieved it. I give myself permission to have money. I am enough, I have enough, I do enough. I am on top of the world and I am going for it. I have a clear picture in my mind of what I want. I can see it in front of me, I know what I want and I know how to get it. My journey is divinely guided. And So It Is!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Here again, yey! And I miss you my dear blog, so so much that seeing the blog layout on my screen makes me want to hug and kiss you! haha

Hi again, all friends! It's been a long while of me not posting 80s stuff lately as I've been busy with life itself trying to earn a living offline. Network marketing and more trainings took my sched.

Sometime in November-December last year though, I've been having all these happy thoughts, talk about throwback, nostalgia and more! Craving positivity at it's finest, so to speak. OH, if people had known where I spent my quiet moments those months. Sometimes I was at the local park, the beach, the library or even on a public jeepney ride with my own thoughts. I have so many dreams, so many wishes wanting to be fulfilled especially this year! I know and I am sure all will work out better in the end when I get to change my way of thinking. If I can think how I thought or pondered on issues during the 80's, all my dreams, all my desires will be fulfilled. Yes, maybe more so if I write about each and every achievement I get everyday in my diary. Ah... just like my old diary from June 1988 up to November 1988 (this has been missing for a long time, until I FOUND IT!) I was so positive there and begun diary entries with a prayer to God. I ended writing in that diary with the words, "I Love You, Lord!" Now I realized, each entry was something about accomplishments, blessings, love and attraction. I can't wait to share them again this year. I'll be posting them soon as scanned photos of the diary entries instead, and with the translation from Tagalog to English.

I feel that I owe it to my friends and readers- and myself too - to get to work again here. Yes, my dear blog, because I love you a million, trillion, zillion times! :))

80s Movie Meme - Stupid Cupid 1988

Finally got a hold of this movie clip as shared by Magsine Tayo on Youtube. It's a nostalgic moment for me to watch this again. It's a movie I watched when I skipped classes near Valentine's Day in 1988 :) Read Here :)

Here's a short review:
Three stories about love starring three of the most successful love teams in Philippine Cinema. Snooky Serna and Richard Gomez top bill Armando Lao's Forever, My Love. The tandem of Maricel Soriano and William Martinez star in Jake Tordesillas' Horror Honeymoon while reel and real life couple Pops Fernandez and Martin Nievera, are joined by Manilyn Reynes and Janno Gibbs in Jose Javier Reyes' Hahabul Habol. Stupid Cupid was directed by Maryo J. de los Reyes for Regal FIlms, Inc.

My favorite episode is the one by Snooky Serna and Richard Gomez because that was me, so melodramatic and a hopeless romantic, but of course, and also because Nadia Montenegro is cast as the rival of Snooky.
